Starting the car

Will it start my engine?

15,000 mAh covers most 12 V petrol cars and SUVs, motorcycles, and small diesels. Large diesels – a big van or a 3-litre pickup – are the edge of what a unit this size does, and in deep cold the margin gets thinner. Tell us the engine through the contact page if you are near that line.

How often should I charge it?

Every few months. It is quoted at holding charge for about six, and the whole point of it is being ready, so it is worth a reminder in the calendar.

Can I leave it in the car all year?

You can, and most people do, but heat and deep cold both shorten a lithium battery’s life. Bringing it indoors over the worst of summer and winter costs you nothing and buys you time.

Inflators

Which of the two should I buy?

The 12 V one if you want something that cannot be flat when you reach for it, because it takes power from the car. The cordless one if you want to inflate a bicycle in the garage, or a ball in a park, without the car being there. There is about ten euro between them. Longer answer in choosing an inflator.

What pressure should I use?

Whatever the plate inside the driver’s door says, not the maximum the pump can reach. 150 PSI is the compressor’s ceiling; a car tyre usually wants somewhere near 32.

Dash cams and displays

Is a dash camera legal where I live?

Recording the road ahead is allowed in most of the EU, but the rules on keeping and sharing footage differ by country, and a few are strict about it. Check your own national guidance before relying on it for an insurance claim.

Will the display work with my car?

It does not connect to the car’s own systems – it sits on the dashboard and pairs with your phone, so the car’s age does not matter. What matters is somewhere flat to mount it and a 12 V socket within reach.

The tracker

Is there a monthly fee?

No subscription. It reports by SMS or through the app.

What can I use it on?

Your own property: a car, a van, a trailer, a motorbike, tools, luggage. Putting a tracker on a vehicle or a person that is not yours, without their knowledge, is unlawful in most of Europe and we will not help with it.

How long to send something back?

14 days from delivery, no reason needed – see returns and refunds. A fault is different and runs for three years under the legal guarantee.
