Most cars on the road are older than wireless CarPlay, and the gap between a phone in a cradle and a proper screen is wider than it looks. This sits on the dashboard and connects to the phone without a cable, for navigation, music, calls and messages.
It works with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and with Siri and Google Assistant, so the phone can stay in a pocket. Navigation syncs with apps such as Google Maps and Waze on a 9 inch HD touchscreen.
Front and rear 1080p cameras record in real time and help when parking. Bluetooth 5.2 handles audio and hands-free calls. Installation is plug and play – there is no wiring to cut and nothing to connect to the car’s own systems.
